5.0 (10)Hi! I am Gabo, a passionate maker keen to share knowledge. Since childhood, I’ve lived my life with pencil at hand and an uncontrollable imagination.
I studied architecture which opened my eyes to the universe of design and fed my curiosity for understanding the crafted world that surrounds us. In 2011 I had the opportunity to teach design fundamentals and illustration techniques, which allowed me to share the knowledge I gathered through my own experiences and guide people during their creative journeys.
In 2014 while living in Europe, I dedicated most of my time to exploring several fabrication mediums and collaborating with art shops, architecture studios and universities.
When I moved to Sydney, I started working in tertiary education, helping students bring their projects and ideas to life. This has given me the opportunity to organise and deliver workshops in many realms of fabrication, from digital fabrication, to traditional crafting techniques including leather working.
I believe that we are all makers, and the desire to materialise our dreams is part of our human nature. I want to help you obtain the skills you seek to make your next creation a reality.

I recently attended a leather bag making workshop led by Gabriel, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience! What an awesome class There was such choice in customising the bags that we all made a bag perfectly suited to our style. Gabo was so attentive and answered all my questions. He had time for us all and his bag design patterns were so cool to see. We were given all the advice and information to explore making our own bags in future, and I'm keen to go again and make a big bag next time Such a good time! Thank you!

This was a really fun and interesting course! Gabriel was a phenomenal teacher who explained everything in detail and took us through the whole process of making our own bags. It was really cool to also learn about the leather working process and what he's done to make sure that the materials are sustainably sourced. I had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this course to anyone interested in leatherwork, fashion, or who just wants to have fun making something that they'll get to use daily!

Such an amazing and unique workshop class, where you get to walk away with a beautiful forever piece! The teacher was incredibly passionate and patient with any questions - making it incredibly engaging and rewarding. I learned so much regarding the bag making and the leather process. Gabriel is a warm and talented teacher, and a master at his craft. He has a wealth of knowledge to share about all things leather, from ethical sources through to different tanning processes. This class gave me a good handle on the basics needed to make myself a gorgeous stitchless laptop bag, which I now use every day.

What an excellent experience! I can't thank Gabo enough for all he taught us - who knew there was so much to learn about leather! Gabo was such a great teacher and so patient with us being a big group and was so good at explaining everything. I can really see how passionate he is about what he does. We literally cut and made bags from the absolute start to finish, even treating the leather ourselves and we had a lot of choice when it came to choosing the leather, colour of straps, rivets and the clasp. I had so much fun and love the bag I made so much! What an unforgettable afternoon

This was the most fun crafting activity I have ever done! Gabo was a great teacher, super informative, I learnt so much about leather working and you could really feel how passionate he is about the craft, especially in the ethical and sustainable sourcing of the leather. I love the bag I made and already know I will use it often. Can't recommend highly enough!
