What you'll do
In this dynamic private workshop in your location of choice in Sydney, you will be guided through the process of making your own stylish stitch-less leather bag!
You will choose the leather of your preference among 3 different colours and weight and the strap to match it. You’ll learn to use a template to mark the material and how to use different cutting and punching tools as well and how to finish edges and treat the leather.
You will be guided on how to put your bag together and will be able to personalise it using different patterns and stamps. Make it the perfect personalised gift for someone you love or for yourself!
You will learn:
- How to use a template and marking tools to mark your material
- How to use different cutting tools to do specific cuts
- How to use different punches for holes and corner fillets
- How to use edge bevelers and how to treat the edges of the material
- How to treat the material
- How to assemble your bag
- How to stamp and personalise your bag
Knowledge required
No previous knowledge is required. You will learn how to work with a basic set of leather-working tools to make a bag that doesn’t require stitching!

Hi! I am Gabo, a passionate maker keen to share knowledge. Since childhood, I’ve lived my life with pencil at hand and an uncontrollable imagination.
I studied architecture which opened my eyes to the universe of design and fed my curiosity for understanding the crafted world that surrounds us. In 2011 I had the opportunity to teach design fundamentals and illustration techniques, which allowed me to share the knowledge I gathered through my own experiences and guide people during their creative journeys.
In 2014 while living in Europe, I dedicated most of my time to exploring several fabrication mediums and collaborating with art shops, architecture studios and universities.
When I moved to Sydney, I started working in tertiary education, helping students bring their projects and ideas to life. This has given me the opportunity to organise and deliver workshops in many realms of fabrication, from digital fabrication, to traditional crafting techniques including leather working.
I believe that we are all makers, and the desire to materialise our dreams is part of our human nature. I want to help you obtain the skills you seek to make your next creation a reality.
