Gratitude and Kintsugi Class: Repair, Reflect and Create

A gentle pause to create and appreciate with the timeless art of kintsugi

2 hours

Class size 1 to 8 (public classes), 4 to 30

  $90 - $120 ($90 for Bowl/Small tray; $120 for Marble look tray) (Afterpay available)

Slow down, create and reconnect with yourself in this calming kintsugi-inspired workshop.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pieces with gold—celebrating imperfections rather than hiding them. In this session, you’ll not only create your own beautiful repaired piece but also take part in a gentle gratitude reflection.
Before we begin, you’ll be guided through a short, mindful writing exercise to reflect on gratitude and the beauty in life’s 'imperfect' moments. This intention will flow into your creative process, making your artwork even more meaningful.
What you’ll experience:
  • Introduction to the art of Kintsugi
  • Hands-on creation of your own contemporary kintsugi piece
  • A guided gratitude writing exercise
  • A calm, supportive and creative environment
Note:
For safety reasons, we do not recommend this workshop during pregnancy, as epoxy glue and putty are used during the process.
Private workshops are available for groups of 3 or more participants. Please get in touch to arrange a private session.
All materials are provided, including a ceramic bowl or tray for you to repair. Designs and styles may vary depending on availability.

  • 5/5 from Joyce Matugas-Barnes, attended Aug 2026: I had the pleasure of attending a Kintsugi session with my beautiful friend and it was a lovely experience. The session allowed an opportunity to do some deep reflection privately, focusing on the beauty that can come from something broken and imperfect. Tejal gave helpful instructions, was very friendly, approachable and patient. She prepared everything with thoughtfulness and intention. Thank you for your time, Tejal, and for allowing strangers to come into a space where we can get in touch with our creative side, and do it with meaning.
  • 5/5 from Stefanie Bruzze, attended Aug 2026: Wow! My fiancé and I received this class as a present for our engagement. We absolutely loved rebuilding our bowls. A huge appreciation and thank you to TJ who taught us the art of Kintsugi and helped us every step of the way to rebuild our bowls by repairing them with gold. Will definitely do another one of TJ’s classes soon!
  • 5/5 from Melissa da Silva Ferreira, attended Aug 2026: I went to the work shop on my own despite being nervous I knew this would be good for my confidence! Not only did I have the best time I also made a new friend. I highly recommend all work shops with TJ — she is such a humble and kind soul. I cannot wait to experience more art with her in the future work shops. Thank you for holding such a safe loving space for us to create beautiful personal art work.

Hi, I’m Tejal! I used to work in IT as an Engineer and a Scrum Master, but I followed my passion for creativity and helping people express themselves through art. I am also a certified interior decorator, which inspires the way I blend aesthetics and mindfulness in my workshops. I now run sessions where participants create vision boards, hand-painted tote bags, resin art, clay art, and more, blending mindfulness, fun, and self-expression.
I’m also a certified Art Therapy Practitioner and worked with an NDIS provider, which inspires me to make experiences inclusive, empowering, and healing.
I love teaching because those little “aha” moments — when someone expresses themselves freely or leaves with something they’re proud of — are magical. My workshops are soulful, intimate, and thoughtful, with materials and prompts to make every experience special.
Creating a space where people feel seen, inspired, and empowered is what drives me every day.
