This course is a taster for complete beginners. If you would like a more comprehensive course, check out my 3-week course for beginners and improvers.
What to bring
A3 or A4 thick paper or small canvas (say 30cm x 40cm) and some acrylic paints (red, light and dark blue, yellow, white, black). Optional colours (yellow ochre, green, violet). If you have other materials bigger or smaller that's fine.

I was lucky enough to be born and raised amidst the rugged landscapes of Scotland. There I developed an early appreciation for light, colour, and form - inspired by the Impressionists.My art employs expressive brushwork and vibrant, emotive colour palettes. I aim to invite viewers to pause and find respite from the constant stress of modern life.I am often told by people that they have no talent or can't create art. This inspired me to teach art, developing a process that anyone can follow. Just like my teachers have done for me, I will help you to build upon to enhance your skills, regardless of your current abilities. Embracing an art practice has significant mental health benefits, offering a meditative escape and a means to connect deeply with one's emotions and surroundings.
