Join us in a fun and relaxing pottery workshop, in the tranquil surrounds of Bundeena. Make a day of it while you're here - visit one of Bundeena's pristine beaches or do a bush/coastal walk.
Discover the magic of throwing clay on a potters wheel in this hands on introductory class.
The class will cover the following:
• Overview of the components and operation of a pottery wheel
• Why and how clay is prepared before throwing
• Throwing techniques including centering, opening and raising.
• Throwing different types of shapes. You will make three pieces including a cup, bowl and plate.
You'll also get to choose the glaze colour for each of the pieces you make which will then be fired. You'll then be informed when the pieces are ready for pick-up (alternatively shipping can be arranged for an additional fee).
This class is regularly scheduled on weekends at 1:00pm via the Book option. If you would like to book on a weekday use the Request Custom Event option.
No previous knowledge or pottery experience is required for this course.
Includes all instruction, tools and materials as well as glazing and firing of pieces made.
Aprons are supplied but please wear comfortable and casual clothing that you won’t mind possibly getting clay on.
This workshop is perfect for individuals and couples as well as for a hens party, special occasion or team building activity.
