I am Karina and I am a ceramic artist, business owner and teacher based in Crows Nest on the upper north shore in Sydney. My passion for ceramics started out as a hobby in 2016 and over the last two years has really grown into a small business with a focus on handmade small batch ceramics and tailor-made events for clay lovers and learners.
I have a passion for teaching and making. I'm a very social person and I love meeting new people, teaching others how to create ceramics and explore clay, hosting events and collaborating with other businesses in fun and creative ways.
I hope that I can teach you to make something beautiful.

Had the best time ever at Karinas class! We did an exclusive workshop for our team (all beginners) Karina was so nimble around timings that worked for us. Super well priced. We all made multiple pieces which will be fired and cannot wait to see them! Highly recommend for your group, friends, team at work etc!

Did the clay and sip class with Karina for a birthday party and an absolutely fabulous time was had by all 5 of us. It was fun to do something different and to be a bit creative. Our teacher was very knowledgeable and incredibly patient with each one of us. We each created between 2-4 items each and are super excited to see the finished product once we pick them up after being glazed and fired. Would highly recommend!

Amazing experience, booked it for a friends birthday and it was absolutely incredible. Karina the teacher was very attentive and helpful in guiding us throughout the whole process. The initial demonstration provided us with a solid understanding and she really assisted in allowing us to create what we wanted to make. She was extremely friendly and created a lovely atmosphere alongside the studio design, a cute cozy vibe. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic class! Lots of fun! Can't believe what I was able to make! Great support and teaching from the instructor. I first went with friends and have since done a date night too. Loved it so much I signed up for the 6 Week course! Can only say positive things about Klaypots, the owner, and this class. 10/10 recommend!

Loved the class, did it with 3 friends for my birthday and we all loved it. Everyone had at least 2 items they were proud to have made and get glazed.
The teacher was lovely and so helpful. She explained everything beautifully and was always ready to lend a hand.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommend it to anyone.

Wheel Throwing pottery was a great experience! It was so much fun. The teacher showed & explained it clearly. She came alongside to help when things weren’t going the best. I would love to do it again. Definitely recommend.

This is an outstanding course. Karina is a very good relaxed teacher. I did the class with 2 of my friends and we all totally enjoyed every minute. Relaxing, creative and most of all fun. Wheel throwing is a really great thing to learn

Loved our mother and daughter time. Karina was clear in her demo and explanations and helped us throughout the session. We each made 4 pieces - bowls, planters, plates etc which was great value for money. The studio was lovely and cost. I liked the small class size (max 6 pax) as Karina was able to give us individual attention (and correct our mistakes lol!)

We went to celebrate a birthday so we had a private class for 6 of us. The teacher, Leia was great! She was very patient with us newbies and gave us lots of help along the way whilst making it lots of fun! The art studio is really cute and we could bring our own snacks and drinks. So much fun! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to see our finished products!

This was quite an adventure. Jess was a lovely teacher, the venue was awesome and it was nice to be able to sip on some wine.
I discovered wheel throwing requires much talent, skill and practice actually and that I was in fact terrible at it However it was such a relaxing and fun activity to do, my friend and I had a great time and if you want to give it a try I recommend this class I would try it again

Leia was an excellent teacher! As it was my first time at the pottery wheel, I found her instructions very clear and easy to follow. I would love to go back for the 6 week course. I would highly recommend Klaypots!

I always have the BEST time at Klaypots. Karina is always so kind and welcoming, and I feel so at home when I'm at the studio.
The teacher Elyse was great. She explained techniques well and visited each member of the class individually to hear their ideas and assist with making their designs come to life.

We did the klaypots & vino and it was such a great experience!
Karina was a great teacher; and because it was a smaller class of six she was really hands on with helping each of us create our ceramic creations.
I managed to make 4 items in the 2hr class - with 2 being chosen to be glazed and “fired up?” in the kiln after.
It was such a great experience overall.
Great value for money.
The studio was so cute and had everything we needed.
Loved that we weren’t limited in what we were allowed to create.
And awesome that we all finished the class with something to show for it.

I’ve did a 6 week course at Klaypots and now attend open studio sessions.
It’s great being able to come in and create at my own pace in such a beautiful studio.
All the staff are so friendly and supportive, it’s a really fun atmosphere.
I’ve learned so much and would definitely recommend Klaypots to learn and develop your skills in pottery.

My experience at Klaypots was incredible I had done one session of wheel throwing elsewhere, but for a complete beginner this class is perfect.
Karina was an amazing teacher and explained everything in detail and at a good pace. Her demonstration was easy to watch and then replicate on your own wheel.
Karina always made sure we got the attention we needed and kept us on track to produce the pieces. She was calm and positive, always adamant that your wonky pot could be fixed (& it certainly could be!)
The studio is intimate and the class size manageable. You really feel like you are getting proper instruction.
I absolutely LOVED my class and can’t wait to come back for more. I also can’t wait to visit her new studio in the coming months.
Thanks Karina and can’t wait to see how all the pieces turn out!

The class was so much fun! There was clear instruction and lots of assistance throughout where needed, which was perfect for me as an absolute beginner. It’s definitely more difficult than it looks, but still such an enjoyable process! I found the wheel throwing itself a very therapeutic experience, and the venue overall had great vibes. Would definitely do this again!

The experience was really fun! Loved that the class size was small (around 6 people max) so the teacher had plenty of time to help each person. The teacher took the time to explain how things work and helped us create the pieces we wanted, which turned out beautiful! We ended up buying most of the pieces we made, great experience and memories!

I took my friend to Klaypots as a birthday gift and we had the best time ! It was so much fun doing the wheel throwing clay & sip class. Our teacher was really patient and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot of techniques which helped us have some awesome first time pieces to collect in a few weeks time once they have gone through the firing process. Can’t wait to go back.

Did the 6 Week Beginners Wheel Throwing course and loved it and the studio so much, I'm coming back for more practise during their open studio nights! You can purchase a bag of clay and have access to their tools so you're able to create your own pieces and teachers are there if you need a little assistance but ultimately you work at your own pace and do you're own thing, which is awesome!
Karina and Leia (open studio) are amazing at making your pottery experience very fun and comfortable for learning

A really lovely Saturday morning! We had an intimate class of 4 people, where we got an introduction and demo to the wheel and then could make two of our own small pieces.
The studio vibes were amazing and so cozy, and the instructors were very attentive. The wheel can sometimes be difficult for beginners, so it was really nice that the instructors were always ready to jump in and help when needed.

Karina was great at explaining and demonstrating the technique for wheel throwing and helped us with our pieces when we gave it a try.
The studio was small and the number of people in the class was appropriate as she did come and check on us each.
My friends and I are excited to get our pieces back and I’ve been showing photos to my other friends of what we made.
I had a lot of fun and would love to go again!

Karina’s studio was so beautiful and I loved the pace of the class. It also helped that it was just a class of 6 which is enough time for her to help everyone and it didn’t feel overwhelming at all! Her steps and her method was very easy to follow. i would highly recommend her class to anyone curious about pottery! You also get to choose your glaze at the end and get to take home 2 of the pieces you make (just pay extra $10 for every piece on top of that you wish to take home!) definitely coming back soon for classes!

It is my first time doing this wheel throwing pottery class!
Karina our teacher was really brilliant! She guided all of us every step of the way on how to mold and create our pieces! She also gave us a demo before the start of the class which helped us to have an idea on what are we gonna do. The venue is also great! Small class is also a plus because she can really monitor us also give some pointers on what to do with our clay. All materials were provided.
This class is really a good value for your money. I enjoyed everything and would love to join again any other courses or classes from klay pots! ♥️

I went to this class with a friend and we were running a little bit late so Karina waited for us to do the demo which was so nice of her. The venue was easy to reach via public transport. We were also provided with lots of clean materials to use to make our pottery and we got to keep two of our pieces for free (It was $10 for every extra piece). Overall, this was an amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back!

Loved our wheel thrown pottery class at Klaypots! Karina was so fun & helpful. She lives what she does. The class was small, and you can make as many pieces as you wish, though you have to pay extra if you make more than two. It was very meditative and peaceful. Would be fun as a group activity. Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend the wheel throwing work shop at Klaypots enough! Karina & Paris we’re organised, helpful, friendly & knowledgeable. The studio space is light & bright & there’s lots of inspiration to be found from the works on display. It was messy & fun- I highly recommend it if your looking for a thorough intro to wheel throwing!

Loved our recent wheel throwing pottery experience with Karina. She explained the process well, and helped where we needed it. Couldn’t believe after 2 hours we had several pieces of (dare I say, pretty good) pottery items. A really different thing to do, loved that we could have a wine whilst we learnt the wheel. Great value for money and a great experience, definitely would do it again.

We booked this as our date night and it was a blast! Karina is so generous with her knowledge and helped guide us in making some super cute bowls and candlesticks. Hubby even tacked on an egg cup for the kids at the end! The venue is fresh and bright and welcoming. The equipment is new and easy to use. 100% will be recommending to everyone.
