Recent reviews of Evening Knitting Class for Beginners and Beyond
- 5/5 from Huu Minh Hang, attended Sep 2026: Deb was so patient and so kind to us, who were completely beginners to knitting. Her sausage rolls that she offered for the class were amaaaaazzziiinnngggg. To be honest, we lost our temper with the knitting but we were soothed by her sausage rolls and the tea. Love this so much. Thank you Deb!!
- 5/5 from Kim Strudwick, attended Aug 2026: That was very good. We were total beginners and we can now knit. Deb was excellent at demonstrating and teaching us individually. And the other students at different levels of experience too. Lovey snacks and tea and chat but full focus on learning. Much appreciated.
- 4/5 from Jason Carter, attended Aug 2026: A pleasant evening of knitting with good people and food. My only criticism would be of when I asked to be shown the correct way to do the slipped stitch edge to make my project tidier, the only thing I wanted to take away from the evening, was told not not to worry about that and just practice my knit stitch, so I just spent the next two hours doing a stitch I already knew that I could have done at home for free.
- 5/5 from Donna Vaughan, attended Jul 2026: What a fantastic experience! Deborah was so welcoming, knowledgeable and probably the most patient person I have ever met. If you are thinking about this class, think no longer - it’s got your name on it! Thankyou for the pleasure Deborah and Bento.
Your teacher
Hi I’m Deb. All my life I have been a maker, crafter and artist. Now I’ve found my true passion - teaching. I believe that being creative has positive benefits for your general well-being and more importantly your mental health. Being creative in a group environment provides the extra benefit of social stimulation. I have been teaching in a number of disciplines for the past 5 years. I have a beautiful and inspiring studio in Summer Hill where I teach furniture upcycling, knitting and how to make terrariums- to name a few. Check my Google reviews to hear what my students have had to say!I specialise in activities that are eco friendly by upcycling and reusing wherever possible. We encourage diversity and social harmony. It’s all about the people really
