Hi, I’m Kylie — the hands and brains behind KYKO.
My journey with sweets began almost as soon as I could crawl. Raised in a home where desserts were always tied to good times, I grew up with nothing but positive memories around baking and desserts. At three, I was helping bake boxed cupcakes with my cousin, and by eight, I’d baked my first cake on my own — imperfect, but full of excitement. With time, practice, and a food science degree along the way, that early love for dessert grew into a deep fascination with food science, flavour and design. Before I knew it, cake became my canvas.
At KYKO, It's important to me that the cakes not only look good, but taste amazing. Think thoughtfully balanced flavours (never too sweet), paired with playful, creative designs that don’t take themselves too seriously. I’m constantly experimenting — testing flavour combinations, refining techniques, and dreaming up new ways to make cake feel exciting again.
But the real magic? Sharing it.
I love teaching just as much as I love baking. There’s nothing better than watching someone arrive unsure and leave proudly holding something they never thought they could create. My workshops are hands-on, welcoming, and designed for all ages and skill levels — no pressure, no perfection, just creativity, connection, and a whole lot of fun.
KYKO is about more than cake. It’s about slowing down, getting creative and having a fun time!
