What you'll do
Begin your journey into the wonderful world of coffee at this hands-on barista course with Gold Coast Coffee School!
Guided by pro baristas, you'll learn everything you need to know about being behind the coffee machine including how to make espresso shots, how to create latte art, milk etching and much more.
We have developed and tailored this program so that we are able to train those without experience but also help refresh and enhance the knowledge of those who have had the opportunity to work with coffee before.
Class outline:
- Introduce you to the commercial coffee machine and grinder.
- Use the latest barista trends.
- Espresso shots.
- Milk steaming, splitting and pouring for all the beverages regularly found on a coffee menu.
- History of coffee.
- Cleaning, caring and maintaining a coffee machine.
- Milk free pour technique.
- Three foundation latte art designs: hearts, flower-heart, tulips.
- Understand milk layering.
- Unlimited coffee and milk to practice.
- Milk etching.
- Barista certificate of attendance issued.
At the end of this barista fundamentals course, you'll have a range of exciting new skills and the confidence to create quality coffee every time!
