What you'll do
The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn fun and relaxing way to create beautiful images by drawing structured, repeated patterns. It increases focus and creativity and provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal wellbeing.
This is a great idea if you're looking for fun kids indoor activities, as it improves fine motor skills, helps to relieve stress during this different time for kids and is great to keep them entertained.
In this live online class specially designed for children, we will work through the eight steps of the Zentangle Method. As well as learning some basic terminology and techniques that are used in Zentangle, they will be introduced to several “tangles” (patterns) that are used to create little pieces of art.
When teaching children, your experienced instructor will use a bigger format paper tile and a sturdier pen (with the same beautiful archival ink) to help them build the foundational skills.
And the best part is there are no mistakes in Zentangle!

Knowledge required
No artistic skill is required. Kids should be able to hold a pen and preferably be able to write their name.

What you'll need
If ordering the box, nothing more is needed, although some people like to have a spare paper to practice on. If not ordering the box then you will need a black fine liner pen, a pencil, paper cut 10 10cm square (sketchbook quality if possible otherwise copy paper is fine), a cotton bud (or clean finger).
