¡Feliz Navidad! Repujado are traditional tin mini artworks from Mexico used as decorations for special occasions. It’s essentially the craft of embossing – a technique that involves working sheets of metal, to create an ornamental figure in relief.
In this workshop, you will learn how to create these magical pieces to decorate your Christmas tree… or if you want to enjoy them for more than once a year, anywhere in your house! Introducing Maria Flores from “Say Hola” who will be helping you create your very own repujado!
Pick from one of the many traditional and not-so-traditional templates Maria will have on the day and create a repujado to take pride of place on your tree to honour and to cherish. Using an array of traditional and pop culture mixed media, Maria will guide you through this super fun craft to create a super buena piece of art to take home.
