  • 5/5 from Julia Colli, attended May 2026: Robyn was a great guide who knew all about the history of Newtown as well as its street art. The tour took us around Newtown, ending near the Enmore Theatre, and we stopped at 4 locations for a snack and/or drink (included in the tour). Robyn's guidance was interesting and entertaining.
  • 5/5 from Laura Scriven, attended Feb 2026: Melinda was fabulous. She has a wealth of knowledge. She took our questions and knew the places to eat and what to try. The walk was easy and off the main street to find some local places we would never know are there. Highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Frances Munt, attended Nov 2025: Robyn was very knowledgeable and took us to some special places in Newtown. I felt like we discovered some of the best kept secrets of this area. The food was delicious too.
  • 5/5 from David Keys, attended May 2025: I've lived in the area for 15 years and decided to see my hood from a different point of view. Couldn't think of a better way than a foodie/street art tour. We went to 4 different food venues including The Pie Tin, Vandal, Hakiki, Cairo Takeaway and finished off with a beer at Young Henrys. Except for Vandal, I had been to them all before but it was nice to go and experience them with some visitors to the area. I have to say though, seeing all the street art was amazing. I never realised there was so much of it and getting the stories behind the art just added to the experience. Andrew, our guide, was simply brilliant! His depth of knowledge was impressive and his friendly manner in making everyone feel included was just perfect. Watching the interaction of our group and how they were enjoying the experience is a definite shout out to Andrew, he did an amazing job...thanks mate :) Thoroughly recommend this tour for both locals and travellers alike.
  • 5/5 from Jancy Sultana, attended May 2025: Our group had a lovely afternoon exploring the amazing array of steet art and food offerings in and around Newtown, thanks to our super guide Andrew, from Local Sauce Tours. Andrew was knowledgeable, informative and interesting. He was friendly, welcoming and comfortable to be around. His articulation was excellent - we learnt a lot about the art and artists alike, and also certainly enjoyed the food choices at the stops along the walk. It was a truly enjoyable experience that we are very happy to recommend. Just do it! It's good value for money.
  • 5/5 from Mark Horsnell, attended Jan 2025: Excellent tour and guide Robyn was very friendly and knowledgeable and great insight to the art work and cafe culture of Newtown. Highly recommend this tour.
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Helsham, attended Oct 2024: Very enjoyable tour seeing parts of Newtown I had never ventured to before. There were lots of things to see and Justin our guide was very knowledgeable.
  • 4/5 from Elena Dragalchuk, attended Feb 2024: In general, it's ok. It's a bit boring. Most of the wall paintings were damaged with illegal graffiti on them.
  • 5/5 from Karen Evans, attended Jan 2024: Such a great tour and the guide was awesome! Would definitely recommend this to friends.
  • 5/5 from Helen Liu, attended Jan 2024: Robyn is an engaging tour guide and I enjoyed her walking tour of Newtown while sampling foods =)
  • 5/5 from Christine White, attended Nov 2023: A great experience for locals and tourists alike. A gentle stroll around the streets of Newtown and Enmore viewing the fabulous and varied artworks was enhanced by our lovely guide Nina’s detailed knowledge of the artists and the history of their work. Add in the delicious food we sampled on our walk from tasty pies, yummy vegan tacos (with an optional margarita) and creamy Persian ice cream. Our final stop was at the trendy Young Henry’s brewery for a beer sample, a falafel and some local colour. Nina was enthusiastic and vivacious. She made our group of strangers feel like new friends.
  • 5/5 from Maria Tugonon, attended Jan 2023: The tour is very entertaining and Justin is a very good host/guide. He is well-versed of his area and speaks quite clearly. All the restos we sampled were worth going back to. Thank you, Justin. All the best!
