If you have a DSLR or hybrid camera that allows for manual control of your camera then this is the perfect course for you. You'll get to shoot Sydney's amazing cityscape, under my guidance.
You'll learn to control ISO, shutter speed & aperture expertly and creatively to produce beautiful low-light shots. I'll critique your photos so that you get the instant feedback you need to keep improving and expanding your perspectives. You'll become well acquainted with travel photography (street portraits, architecture, landscapes, still life, abstract, nature). You'll develop your technical skills whilst also discovering your personal creative style.
You'll get stunning shots no matter when you do this class, though Vivid Festival is always a highlight.
In the case of wet weather, this class may get cancelled; if that's the case you'll have the option of a refund or rescheduling.
Your Sydney teacher will be either:
Chris L Jones - an advertising, editorial and commercial photographer based in Sydney, Australia. He has worked with a wide range of clients and would describe himself as a lifestyle, people, food, travel and occasional art photographer.
Or Alfonso Calero (see more about him in the profile below)
Smartphone Photography Course (Perth City), at Sat 23 Feb at 2:30pm
Day Photography Class (Melbourne), at Sat 23 Feb at 3pm
Beginner DSLR / Hybrid Photography Course (Sydney), at Sat 23 Feb at 3pm
Day DSLR Photography Class (Brisbane), at Sat 23 Feb at 3pm
Day and Night Photography Class (Sydney), at Sat 23 Feb at 3pm
Some basic knowledge will help but not essential.
Please bring your own camera and tripod.
If you don't have a tripod please request one by messaging me.
You'll need a digital camera with manual settings available (not smartphone or Point & Shoot); should be fully charged, with plenty of memory space for new photos. Bring your camera manual too if you have it.

I've got a 13year old daughter. I bought her a DSLR camera for her Birthday. Is it OK if she does the course but I come along with her to help her and be her guardian?
For insurance reasons and in fairness to all other customers, everyone who joins must be a paying customer. Otherwise, she is welcome to come alone if you give written consent. Hope you understand.
We'll keep you posted!
