Hi! I'm Nikki from Nikki Design Co. I’m a self - taught modern calligrapher and sign writer, and I work full-time out of my Sydney home office in yoga pants and ‘gym bun’ hair, creating calligraphy and custom signage and pretty things for weddings, events and brands!

I used to work full-time as a Marketing Coordinator for the University of Sydney, which is when I decided to start my calligraphy business as my side hustle which is what makes me happy and am passionate about! After being employed at the Uni for several long years and feeling uninspired and really wanting to put more effort into my calligraphy, I made the decision to leave my job and put my heart and soul into running my calligraphy biz full-time. That's how Nikki Design Co. started and I'm so glad I took the leap. It's been hard work but I love the ups and downs, embrace all the opportunities and challenges, and am loving every minute of it!

I have two doggos - Pompom the evil dog and Bob the shih tzu! I love burgers, kickboxing and old school rnb, and you'll probably find me busting a move (or two) to some hiphop whilst I'm at home working and lettering ;)

Thanks Nikki for a wonderful session. 3 hours flew by and within that time, I learnt the fundamentals tl take away with me to practice my newly acquired skill. It's the perfect personal touch I've always wanted to add to my home made goods I made for fam and friends.
Nikki observed me and provided tips on getting the best style strokes.
Materials were provided so it was handy to get started on practising straight away and Nikki provided plenty of into on where to get supplies, recommendations and how to care my new items. The personalised agate was a lovely touch and to remember this occasion.
I'd recommend this for anyone looking to learn calligraphy, and or anyone looking for something relaxing to learn and do - you're in good hands with Nikki.

Nikki was a lovely and patient teacher and the small size of the intermediate workshop was perfect for getting individual feedback and instruction. So happy to have found this class, which was catered to those who already have some previous experience with pointed pen calligraphy. There is certainly a plethora of beginner calligraphy workshops on ClassBento, but Nikki's intermediate offering sets her apart and it was exactly what I was looking for to take my practice to the next level.

Teacher, Niki was great. Relaxed, enthusiastic and experienced. Class was fun and sociable and provided a lot of practical advice re calligraphy. Calligraphy set included was good and we get to keep it so a bonus. Venue was good with excellent coffee next door. S very positive experience.

Nikki was so warm and made the whole session a really laid back and enjoyable experience. I love that the workshop included tools to take home with me so that I can keep practicing too! Overall it was a really great time, and the fact it’s connected to a cafe is a nice little perk

This class was so universally great in so many ways. Nikki was such a pleasure to learn from with her vibrant personality that created such a comfortable and relaxed calligraphy experience. I loved the one on one interactions and being able to revive tailored advice making sure I was on the right track throughout the class. The location was amazing as it was near a cafe and getting a coffee beforehand was such a great way to add to the chill atmosphere.

Loved this class! Nikki was a wonderful teacher and made learning so easy. She provided all the tools needed to get started in calligraphy and gave us easy to follow instructions.

The venue was lovely and bright and close to all amenities inside Rhodes Waterside shopping centre.
