Discover the fascinating art of setting for faceted stones in this hands-on course in Melbourne!

Suitable for individuals with novice to intermediate metalworking skills, this stone setting course provides the perfect opportunity to learn how to set your own stones.

During the course, you will delve into the basics of graver preparation, including how to put handles on your gravers and tailor them to your hand size requirements.

You'll also master the art of shaping, sharpening, polishing, and maintaining your tools by hand. There is an "add on' option included for ME to purchase your gravers and handles when you book ($160). Or you can request I send you the tool list and YOU will then purchase them prior to your class.

Explore different types of setting techniques, from flush (gypsy), bezel, star, or claw setting, and gain the skills to create stunning and unique designs. As a bonus, you'll be given a link on how to make a custom needle burnishing tool too!

Throughout the course, you'll be guided by an experienced teacher who will provide expert advice, tips, and demonstrations.

By the end of this course, you'll have newfound knowledge and skills needed to continue your own setting work. You'll also take home setting blanks and stones for you to continue to practice with.
