I did the Koinobori Fish workshop run by Pamela today with my 2 grandsons aged 3 & 5yrs. It was a lot of fun and interesting to learn of the Japanese custom of hanging them at the ground of their home to bring health and prosperity to children. The craft elements were supplied ahead of time with plenty for the class and extras to make more later. There was lots of variety to allow for individual creativity. The absolute beginner's watercolour workshop was an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. The beginning activity was a great way for us newbies to practise various watercolour techniques and begin feeling comfortable with holding a paintbrush. All art supplies were provided and a hot drink from the downstairs cafe was included in the cost as well. Pamela did a good job of demonstrating the techniques simply and effectively.

Suggestion for improvement: the taping down of papers for the beginning activity seemed to take considerable time and could be something that was prepped for students before the workshop.
