If you're looking for a fun evening to spend with a birthday-girl, bride-to-be or teammates and have always wanted to know how to make pasta from scratch, it's time to try a private pasta-making class in Circular Quay, Sydney!

At this beginner-friendly pasta-making workshop, you'll start on your journey to mastering this culinary art as you and your friends learn how to make our signature fettuccine.

With hands-on instruction from the Salt Meats Cheese pasta connoisseurs, you will use only the finest seasonal ingredients and SMC's own pasta dough recipe to make your own fettuccine from scratch. You'll then whip up a few mouth-watering sauces to pair with your homemade pasta and discover pasta-perfection.

Over two hours you will learn:

  • How to make and knead pasta dough.
  • How to roll out pasta dough using a pasta machine.
  • How to turn the pasta sheets into fettuccine.

After all the kneading, rolling and cooking are done, it's time to taste your melt-in-the-mouth fettuccine and sip on your paired wine. Bliss!

The below bottomless beverage packages are available as additional add-ons when booking private classes and are priced per person at the checkout:
  • Standard package: A selection of house white, red, rosé, prosecco, and sparkling wines, tap beers and soft drinks.
  • Premium package: A selection of premium white, red, rosé, prosecco and sparkling wines, bottled cider, tap beers and soft drink.
  • Cocktail package: A selection of three of our signature cocktails, Aperol Spritz, Sunset Negroni and Espresso Martini, plus house white, red, rosé, prosecco, and sparkling wines, tap beers and soft drinks.
  • Due to our RSA policy, if you purchase a bottomless drinks package for one person in your booking/party, you will need to purchase the package for every person within your booking/party. You can add multiple packages to your booking at check-out as it is priced per person.

  • Please allow a reasonable amount of time to enter The Gateway Building and proceed to Level 2 for this class.

Our private cooking space as part of regular practice, is disinfected with food grade sanitiser along with all equipment and materials. Gloves are available and frequent washing of hands is already part of our cooking class schedule.

Originally based at Bourke Road in Alexandria, we have re-located our ‘Salt Meats Cheese Kitchen’ cooking school to our Circular Quay venue. At the same location is our newest addition, the fabulous rooftop Bar Ombre by SMC, now open for dining, sipping and events.

Queensland venues include Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast, and in Brisbane, West End, Newstead, South Bank with Woolloongabba coming soon, plus our infamous mobile Fuel Food Truck dishing out the finest wood-fired Pizza and Italian delights every day on location or look out for us at an event near you soon!!
