What you'll do
In light of the government regulations as of 31st Jan, we will require proof of vaccination from all class participants over the age of 16.
Searching for a relaxing new hobby? Want to find some new Perth activities to add to your list? Well, if you love the idea of doing something new and exciting and don’t mind getting a little muddy, then this pottery course is for you!
Over six weeks, you’ll be guided by Not Yet Perfect's experienced teacher, giving you all the skills and techniques needed to become a capable thrower. You’ll get to learn the basics of how to throw simple shapes such as cylinders (cups and mugs), bowls and vases.
You’ll also learn how to trim and shape your pots (extremely satisfying) and finally, how to decorate and glaze your ceramics wares.
While throwing clay requires attention and practice, we know that at the end of this workshop you’ll be able to take home a piece of work that you’ll be proud of! The workshops are also small and intimate to maximise your experience. No experience is needed!
Please note: Glazing and firing is included in this course.
Tickets and refunds:
Please select carefully when choosing your workshop date and time. We DO NOT refund or reschedule workshop bookings. If you are unable to attend a workshop, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.
Replacement classes:
We encourage students to attend each lesson in the four-week course as we do not offer replacement classes. In the event that we have a spot available in the next course, a place may be made available for you to attend.
Firing:
If requested for, all pieces made will be bisque and ready for pickup a minimum of 4-6 weeks after the course date. All participants will be notified via text when items are ready for pickup.
Pottery breakage:
In the unfortunate case where your pottery breaks or cracks in the kiln, Not Yet Perfect do not offer refunds, as this is the nature of the firing process- pottery is a beautiful yet delicate process.
