Looking for unique Sydney activities? Join Tomato Art at our Burwood pottery studio and learn the art of wheel throwing.
This hands-on, beginner-friendly pottery workshop will see you making a unique ceramic piece to take home. The class runs for ninety minutes with a friendly instructor guiding you the whole way. You'll start with an introduction to pottery and the wheel before learning to throw a ceramic cup or bowl.
After class, your piece is dried and fired in our kiln, and is ready to pick up about 5 weeks later.
You'll go home more confident on the wheel, with the skills to keep your pottery journey going.
Good to know
  • Please take a photo of your work before you leave the studio — we use it to identify your piece at collection, so no photo means no collection.
  • We don't contact guests when pieces are ready, and our opening hours vary, so please message us before coming in.
  • Work is held at the studio for up to 4 months. After that it's discarded.
  • You can add an extra glazing or painting session after class for an additional fee.
