Super fun quick and easy class as an introduction to pottery wheel throwing.

George our instructor had a great sense of humour and really tried to ensure that we have fun during the class. Take note that the end result as-is is $0 but the white glaze is an additional $10 and the cracked glaze in a light jade green colour is an additional $15.

We were slightly late to the class. The teacher rang us to confirm we were actually coming and waited for us. The class was very hands-on, and the teacher clear with the instructions. Everything you need is provided. I will definitely do this again.

I did this experience with my fiancé and we had so much fun.
We went in there with the intention of creating a ceramic bottle with absolutely no experience and the instructor was very helpful in making it with us and giving us the right techniques.
We would absolutely do this again!

Long review - I booked the wrong date (a week early) and they changed the date no fuss without charge - amazing service. The class itself was really fun and engaging, the guy running it was really funny and super helpful throughout. It was easy enough to catch on and had some difficulty to it that made it a challenge and interesting. Very laid back fun and well worth the money. Will be back!

The teacher was absolutely awesome. He was high energy, funny, learned and very hands on confident in teaching. Made me and my husband feel very welcomed. At no point in the session we're we made to feel dumb or incompetent.
We were given an apron to wear and provided with around 400g of clay. We were taught how to centre the clay as well as how to mould it into a cup/bowl.
We definitely had fun and have recommended the class to friends and family. We most definitely will do more classes.

You don’treally learn much about pottery skills, as it runs only for 1.5hr for a large class. We had to wait the teacher to fix all pieces one by one. In the end, he was the one doing all the job. The teacher was lovely, tho.

The teacher was amazing at ensuring everyone left with a satisfactory experience! I liked the brief rundown on pottery history, types of clay, ways of designing (glaze, paint, etc) that was said at the start as it prepared me for how to actually use the clay. The teacher made sure that everyone was reminded that they came to the class to have fun and not worry about being too perfectionist as we were only beginners - he also said that it's okay if we ended up not being good at this because we're good at other things, which I found very nice and reassuring. Everyone was helped out individually and the teacher also made it very clear that he was more than happy to take photos of us on our phones if we wanted some while working with the clay.

The place might be slightly hard to find as it's a single door to stairs leading upwards, so make sure to look out for their sign!

Additionally, there are a few choices at the end of the class:
- $15 for cracked glaze
- $10 for transparent glaze
- painting (from memory, i think this is another class?)
- leave plain, unglazed

Loved the vibe and teacher. Great experience in making pottery on a wheel, learning some basics and then having some time and freedom to make what we want. Need to wait a few weeks for clay to be fired and ready to pick up which is no problem, however glazing would cost extra.

I think it started well in the beginning but towards the end, almost everyone’s piece was made by the teacher. I think learning the techniques at the beginning helped but I wish the class was more structured so that you could make what you wanted from what you learnt. I don’t think the teacher should do everything for us.

As for the teacher, he had amazing energy and was good at explaining things.

There wasn’t much clay too. By the end of the class, a lot of my clay was gone from practicing the techniques.

It would be better to set the expectations before going into the class so you know how it’s run and what you get out of it (in greater details).

The class was really good and the instructor was so lovely and helpful. You do learn how to throw and spin clay however you don’t really have time to the creative, adding texture or paint or glaze your item. I wish the course was slightly longer and more expensive and you paint your item and have some creative freedom. However for the price point you pay it is a great course very fun.

Invited my invited family for a group activity! Such a fun class- it was great value and the instructor was helpful and so funny, we definitely weren't naturals but somehow he fixed our designs last minute and we'll be looking forward to picking those up when they've been fired. I think compared to another class we didn't do as much (the other one had us throw two balls of clay), however this was unmatched in value and a great introduction if you just wanted a relaxing interactive afternoon activity. Didn’t really enjoy it, I enrolled to destress, make friends and have fun.
I found it very hard to understand what the teacher said as I’m hearing impaired.
I also found the participants very unfriendly, they wouldn’t even introduce themselves let alone smile or say hello, not really a relaxing and fun experience for me, too stressful.

Very fun class - we learnt how to use the pottery wheel and made a small ceramic piece. The instructor goes around helping us which was great. I loved that we could get coloured glaze (cracked blue) as an option for $15. Would do again!

I had a great morning attending this class. George was great with teaching the techniques (and entertaining!) without rushing it. By the end of the class, I was able to make a small cup. This class was value for money, as you get a taste for what wheel throwing is like, all material is supplied, and you can take the your creation home a couple of weeks later. All in all, great to explore a new activity and getting creative!

This was a really fun class, really enjoyed it. Location was easy to find. Materials all provided, no need to bring an apron.

George was great, he was funny and really helpful. Made the class interesting and even learnt some facts about pottery before we started. He would explain each step to us at a time and then after we tried it he came over to us one at a time to help us fix the clay up a bit, this was really helpful. At the very end you could just work on making your own shape. Additional costs to glaze your work.

Definitely worth the money though. Highly recommend this class if you just want to try out pottery and have some fun.

The experience was great and i would do it again, however there were some people who slowed the class down, due to intentionally not listening to the teacher and trying to do it themselves.

I enjoyed the class and learnt a lot about pottery. We were taught different techniques on how to show the clay however it was sometimes difficult to understand as English was the instructors second language. Overall good class and came out with a vase.

The teacher, George, is such great value. He's an awesome teacher, and so funny and personable.
The venue was easy to find, with plenty of street parking nearby.
The provided clay was fun and easy to work with, and having the option for firing and glazing our pots as an add-on was great.
I think George could teach absolutely anyone how to throw clay, and I definitely recommend this class. 10/10!

The class was good. The class was conducted by Mr. George, who gave a lot of information about various types of clay and a background on where it is coming from and where it is being used. During the whole time, instructions were given on how to handle the clay and how to get into the various shapes, like cyclinder, cone, etc.
The space is small, parking I was able to get one easily. Plan to come a bit ahead to look for parking. The glazing of our finished item is done at an extra cost, which will be explained during the class. George helped his way through the class, and he even assisted in making our product into a better shape. Overall, it was a great experience for any one who doesn't have a pottery experience.

The class was ever better than I imagined! We learnt the basics of pottery throwing and got to make our own creations. I’m going back to pick it up in 5 weeks after it is dried and glazed. A clear glaze costs a further $10 and a blue crackle glaze is $15 which is what I opted for. And if you want to finish up your work, trimming and painting and glazing it is another class that you can take afterwards as well.

Great class, super funny instructor and great value for money. Instructor provided great knowledge in pottery, kind and hilarious. Learnt how to correctly mold shapes to own liking. Only thing I would like is more time to play around with the clay to practice ourselves before we continue to next step, but I guess it’s difficult to cram everything in 1.5hrs.

The teacher was great very informative. He gave a little too much information at the being of the class.
The venue was good and appropriate. No lift although, up some steep steps
The materials were great and all necessary tools were provided.
The class was a little bit expensive for what we got
George, the teacher showed us all how to use our hands to mode the clay.
I enjoyed modelling the clay the best.

It felt relaxing to create this artwork how we wanted, and to be reminded that mistakes are welcome in this beginner's class of fun! George explained the methods of Pottery Wheel Throwing in a fun and easy way. This is a perfect class for beginners as I found it quick to learn and succeeded in making a bowl! Fantastic class! The teacher was detailed, helpful and had a good sense of humour which made it fun! The tools provided were good and easy to use and even when we accidentally ruined our piece the teacher would come around and help fix the situation so we get to bring home something usable.

I liked the engagement of students and individuals.
I liked the help of the teacher while shaping and creating their pots.
However, I think the teacher needs to have one sample in front of him and show how to do it so that way we learn better by seeing what he does and how he does it.

In general, the rest of the students loved the experience and I look forward to visiting it another time.

The materials provided were good! It was fun to make our own cup/bowl. I would have liked more time to perfect my piece but it was still a cool experience. Getting the piece glazed costs an extra $10-15. This class is the most affordable wheel throwing class I could find in Sydney.

George spoke too quickly with a heavy accent and it was very difficult to follow him. The amount of clay for the price of the class was very small and there was so much talking and information that I didn't need to know, that the time spent actually doing something was way too short.
