I’m Alfie, the founder of Haina, a handmade jewellery brand inspired by organic shapes, imperfections, and the idea that no two pieces should feel exactly the same. I started working with jewellery through Haina, designing rings and learning the process behind turning an idea into a finished piece. Alchemy was born from wanting to share that process with other people in a way that felt relaxed, social, and accessible - even if you’ve never made anything before. What I love most about teaching is seeing everyone start with the same piece of wax and finish with something completely different. There’s no right or wrong way to make your ring, and that’s usually where the best pieces come from. I’ve now hosted Alchemy workshops for private groups, birthdays, and corporate teams around Sydney, and I still love seeing what people come up with every session. My workshops are less about making something perfect and more about slowing down, using your hands, having a drink, meeting people, and creating something that’s completely your own.
