What you'll do
Learn to create your very own rug with the wonderful art of latch-hooking!
Whether you're brand new to textile art, or you've dabbled in other creative skills - this class is a great way to learn the foundations of latch-hooking and start your very own rug.
In this beginners class, you'll learn the basics of latch-hooking and will leave the class with your own rug in process. You'll also learn all about the supplies and skills to make your own latch-hooked creations so after the class you can let your creativity run wild!
The session will start by going over your supplies as well as some fun background information on all things rug making. You'll then move on to different latch-hooking techniques and effects. Finally, you'll get started on your own latch-hooked rug in your choice of design, which you will be able to take home to complete.
Tea, coffee and snacks will also be provided! So you can cosy up and get creative.
Want to have a rug-making party? Your teacher can travel to you! These rug-making sessions are available for events - both corporate and private so it's perfect for team building activities, date nights or birthday party ideas.

What you'll get
You'll receive a rug-making DIY kit valued at $89 in your choice of design plus rug-trimming scissors valued at $12. It includes all the tools and supplies you need to create your masterpiece as well as detailed instructions and video tutorials in case you'd like to go over them after the class.Your kit will include:
- Instruction sheet and QR code to video tutorial
- Fully backed rug canvas
- Pre-cut yarn in each colour needed
- Premium wooden latch hook
- Steel rug-trimming scissors (these usually aren't included in our kits but are added for our lovely workshop customers!)
