What you'll do
Looking for fun things to do in Melbourne with kids? Join this hand building clay class during the school holidays!
In this class, kids will have the opportunity to get creative, learn how to work with clay and create a variety of items such as a crazy critter, a hot chocolate mug or any other object that sparks your imagination.
Don't worry if they're new to pottery, our small class sizes ensure that kids will receive all the assistance they need to feel confident and have fun throughout the workshop. They'll get the chance to experience the joy of working with their hands and getting a little messy in the process.
During the workshop, kids will be provided with all the materials necessary to bring their ideas to life. Feel free to let their imagination run wild as they mould and shape the clay into their desired creations. The experience of working with clay can be both therapeutic and exciting, leaving them with a sense of accomplishment.
At the end of the class, they'll proudly have finished pottery pieces, showcasing their newfound skills and creativity. We will then slowly dry them and then fire and put a glossy glaze on them. This takes approximately two weeks before it is ready for collection.
