This 8-week Silver Jewellery Course welcomes both beginners and continuing students who are eager to practice and learn new jewellery making skills. Beginners start by learning to cut, texture and solder silver and base metals to create a pendant and ring, providing a solid foundation for producing more complex pieces in the future. For continuing students, the course offers an opportunity to advance their skills by exploring a range of techniques including design, roller printing, marking, riveting, patinas, metal inlay and texturing. These techniques will help you create custom pieces and develop your own signature style.
We will begin with a review of basic skills and then progress through technical demonstrations such as cabochon stone setting, roller printing, marking and riveting. Your teacher will also offer hands-on guidance in additional techniques like patinas, metal inlay and texturing, which allow for the production of multi-coloured and patterned pieces. Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to develop your designs, refining your creative concepts and technical abilities.
