This class was something new to me and never done this type of resin casting before . Was fun to do and did two coats as told to so took some time to complete and finish . I now got heat gun to do more like this for Xmas so will continue to make new things as well with this technique . Quite happy with my first attempt at this and quite effective way it's done . Film Making Course for Beginners
Richard is a seasoned filmmaker, having worked on various known brands his knowledge in the industry is amazing. This was an extensive workshop spread across 4 Saturdays (3.5 hours) and I am really glad I opted for this. We covered the behind the scenes (pre-production) of making a short film where we got to do some hands on exercises on Screenwriting, Storyboarding, Shot Planning and Location scouting. TheRichard is a seasoned filmmaker, having worked on various known brands his knowledge in the industry is amazing. This was an extensive workshop spread across 4 Saturdays (3.5 hours) and I am really glad I opted for this. We covered the behind the scenes (pre-production) of making a short film where we got to do some hands on exercises on Screenwriting, Storyboarding, Shot Planning and Location scouting. The venue, Sydney Community College was really nice with all the modern equipments and nice classrooms for this indoor workshops. We are also going to use the venue to shoot the short film in February 2022. I have already the booked the 2nd part of this Workshop which is for Shooting the Short Film (February 2022) where we will get to learn about Direction, Cinematography, Editing and Post Production side of things about making a short film as well as other necessary documentation part in Filmmaking industry. Recommended for anyone interested in knowing the process of making a film along with practical aspects of actually working on a student short film. A++ in my book. + more

Small Space Interior Design Workshop
Rose-Marie was good but hard to hear as there was a music class next door and we had trouble hearing her a lot. We were given material to read on design and some do's and don't's when decorating. I was expecting more on new techniques and what's in right now. But Rose-Marie did help us with what to put in a room and where for best looks. Interesting class but not much more than I already knew.

Initially I was nervous to try this class as it's such a foreign type of craft for me but the teacher was beyond patient, guided us beautifully and I learnt so much about bookbinding (including some of each types of history and origins). The materials in the box were such high quality and the final products are beautiful, mistakes and all (in my opinion worth the higher price). I enjoyed it though, mostly because it was invigorating to do something different in lockdown. I’ve done the first class so far. I did this class on an iPad, and did not know we had to print off the reference materials for the class. It would help to give people notice they need two screens (one for the teachers demonstration camera and the other for the notes) or to have the materials printed off. Since the notes where essential, they could have been posted with the kits for those (like me) who don’t own a printer. Other than that, it was good.

The teacher was excellent, very knowledgeable, sharing her tips with us. She made the class enjoyable. There was good rapport between the teacher and the students. It was a small class of 6. The place was neat and clean. The teacher laid out the necessary papers and accessories for us. As the room was small, the teacher took us through the various steps of making the vegan cheeses. She also gave us various cheeses to taste including the ones we had just made.

Our teacher Elizabeth was very welcoming, relaxed and encouraging. Her workshop was well structured, well paced and presented. Over the day Elizabeth gave us good information, excellent examples of relevant writing, facilitated discussion and guided us through brainstorming topics for our own writing, choosing our topic and beginning and finally writing a short piece. It was very engaging and enjoyable and Elizabeth made it very interactive and so much easier to write than I ever expected. I highly recommend the workshop.

Ikebana Japanese Flower Arrangement Class
I really enjoyed the class. Our teacher, Kuniko, made sure we understood the Ikebana way of arranging flowers. She was very helpful with each of my arranged effort and made corrections to help me understand the concepts. I learnt a little Japanese history and culture and although the arrangements appear simple, there is a process to be followed which is what I learnt and it is not as easy as it looks! The flowers provided were great to work with and the variety gave different options. The venue was fine and I appreciated being able to take theI really enjoyed the class. Our teacher, Kuniko, made sure we understood the Ikebana way of arranging flowers. She was very helpful with each of my arranged effort and made corrections to help me understand the concepts. I learnt a little Japanese history and culture and although the arrangements appear simple, there is a process to be followed which is what I learnt and it is not as easy as it looks! The flowers provided were great to work with and the variety gave different options. The venue was fine and I appreciated being able to take the flowers home to enjoy. It was a form of art I had never tried before and it was well explained. The kit came with almost everything I needed to get started and keep practicing post workshop. Great way to learn a new art form.

Brush Lettering Class for Beginners
I attended the Brush Lettering Beginners class. Alena was wonderful and made us all feel comfortable, especially in the midst of covid restrictions that made the desk spacing a little awkward. The learning process of watching Alena do some basic strokes, then having 1 on 1 time with her while we practiced on our own was really valuable and worked well for a beginners class. I was a bit of a slow learner, so I did feel somewhat constrained by the 2.5 hour time frame, but Alena was nice enough go a little overtime. I'm not a huge fan of the brushI attended the Brush Lettering Beginners class. Fermentation and Pickling Class
I just finished the pickling and fermenting class with Marcea Kelowna and I just want to say that She. Is. Brilliant. I learnt more than just about pickling. Outstanding. Thank you, Marcea. Very informative session, with additional tips provided. Session was well presented online. The spice mix smelt great, so am looking forward to tasting the fermented vegies in a week or so.

Alena was a terrific teacher, she has a friendly approach with clear instructions and encouraging with her critique of student's first attempts of brush lettering. Part of the reason I was interested in this was to have more control over my own signature and erratic writing and already this class has worked a treat. Big thanks!
