Step into Atolya and meet your instructor. You’ll explore the jewellery-making tools, materials and techniques used throughout the workshop.

Choose Your Design and Stamps

Decide how you would like your ring to look. Choose from Atolya’s collection of letter, number and symbol stamps to add initials, a meaningful date or a special design.

Measure and Cut Your Metal

Carefully measure your silver or gold before cutting it to the correct length. Your instructor will help ensure the ring is prepared in the right size.

Heat, Shape and Join

Learn how heat makes the metal easier to work with. Shape your piece into a ring before carefully joining the ends with guidance from your instructor.

Hammer and Refine

Use traditional jewellery tools to shape, texture and refine your ring. Every detail will make your handmade design uniquely yours.

Polish and Flaunt Your New Ring

Smooth and polish your finished ring until it shines. Try on your one-of-a-kind creation and take it home ready to wear and treasure.

Join Atolya at their ring making workshop in Sydney, where you'll design and create an exquisite handmade sterling silver or solid 9ct gold ring which you can then take home with you!

Over the course of two hours, you'll be guided through the fundamentals of silver or goldsmithing, learning hands-on techniques like sawing, annealing, soldering, filing, and polishing. Don't worry if you're a beginner—our skilled mentor craftsmen will be there to provide expert guidance and support throughout the class.

During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to customise every aspect of your rings. From the size and shape to the aesthetics, you can truly make them your own. You can even add lettering or numbering on the inside or outside of your rings, drawing inspiration from examples crafted by previous students.

You'll be working with top-tier materials such as sterling silver or solid 9ct gold, ensuring that your rings are not only symbols of love but also water, sweat, and rust-proof for long-lasting wear. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with exquisite handmade rings that reflect your creativity and personal style.
