Soap Making Workshop

Soap Making Workshop

Get creative and make your own soap, the easy way

Hand Made

1 - 10

If you’ve been curious about how to make natural soap completely from scratch, but perhaps a little daunted by how to start, then this is the workshop for you!

Not only is it a wonderful skill to have, but once you can make your own nourishing, moisturising soaps, you won’t need to go back to mass-produced “soap” again, with its artificial ingredients and drying detergents.

Much like cooking, soap making uses some ingredients and equipment you might already have in your kitchen. However, since the authentic process of soap making involves the use of lye or caustic soda, extra care must be taken.

During this workshop you will be taught the essentials of cold process soapmaking using only premium natural ingredients, like Organic Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sunflower oil, Essential oils, Botanicals, Mica and more. You will then make your own batch of soap choosing your favourite Essential Oil and you will receive instructions on how to cut and cure the soap by yourself at home. You will be decorating your creations with dried flowers like Rose petals, Rose Buds, Chamomile, Lavender, Calendula, Cornflower, White Jasmine Buds. Create your own personal recipe with our premium supplies!

This workshop is suitable for everyone who is interested in learning how to make soap products with natural ingredients that suit your skin.

No prior knowledge is required.

- Safe techniques
- Comparison between commercially manufactured soap and handmade
- Natural ingredients & their benefits for your skin
- Discussion on the different methods to make soap by hand
- Making soap with sodium hydroxide

By the end of this course you will have:
- Knowledge about the soapmaking processes
- An understanding of natural ingredients & their benefit to your skin
- Learned how to formulate different soap recipes to suit your individual needs
- Produced 2 different soaps to take home with you
- Knowledge on how to make your own soaps from home in the future
- How to use a lye calculator in forming your own recipes

Upon completion of this workshop you should have the confidence to make more soap at home, experimenting with different ingredients, fragrances, exfoliants and colours. Soap making can be very addictive, with endless possibilities for creativity!

I attended Elena’s soap making workshop last week and it was fantastic. Elena seemed to be very passionate and knowledgeable about the whole process. She was very friendly and very patient through out ( saying that as I had zero knowledge in soapmaking) ! All the materials were provided. I had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this art

Coming into this class, I did not know any thing about soap making. I walked away full of knowledge about the essentials of soap making. Elena also shared other information like available suppliers for the necessary materials and websites we could refer to for further guidance. Thank you, Elena.

Elena was wonderful. I had gone to her candle class and was really happy that I decided to do the soap one too! She is very informative and provides information and resources for equipment and more. I learned a lot from soap making and it was a great experience.

The workshop was just what I was after. Elena knows her subject well, and supplied notes for us to continue with at home. We were able to make two different batches to our own design. I would recommend it as a very good introduction to making soap.

I enjoyed the soap making course alot. It was highly informative with lots of info at the beginning but we got to make two 400ml tubs of our own soaps to take home (about 10 slices altogether) Venue was small but so cosy and elena offered herbal tea and muffins before we started our work. Elena made a big effort to give us as much information as possible and she was fun and relaxed in her teaching. V small class so we received good 1 to 1 help. Excellent value. Elena went over the 3.5 hrs but didnt rush us which was great. Tools and materials provided were really good. A definite recommendation to this class if you want to have fun but also go home with the knowledge to make your own soaps to sell or give as beautiful gifts.
