  • 5/5 from Gaby Gandi, attended Sep 2026: Robert ensured that the amount of assistance he provides for each student are tailored to their needs. He is attentive to notice which students require more support (me haha) and which students require less/minimal support. I went home with a sculpture I'm happy with - thank you for all your support Robert! Also shoutout to Nolly for her warmth and hospitality :)
  • 4/5 from Eva Zemanova, attended Sep 2026: The course was nice, we learned a new skill. It is obvious that Robert has been doing this for a long time and has a lot of knowledge. However I have a few suggestions how to improve the class for the future: - while Robert's stories are interesting, I would appreciate less story telling and more focus on the actual sculpture making. I feel like we weren't given enough time for thinking about the sculpture design, and we were also rushed into finishing the sculpture, while e.g. during the lunch break, there was no rush to go and actually start working on the sculpture. - none of the actual sculpting techniques were explained to us upfront, although there was several hours dedicated to the "theory" (and Robert's story telling). The actual work techniques were verbally explained only when we wanted to actually do something and didn't know how, or did it wrong. It would be good to have an overview of basic sculpting techniques provided before we dig into the material. - it also seems that we were only given one knife and one brush, while Robert had a bigger stash of tools, but didn't share those with us. I think this goes back to the explaining the sculpting techniques upfront, so that we can plan the sculpture design and techniques needed to achieve a certain look upfront, with explanation of what tools are available and how to use them. - it would be great to have some sort of PPE to protect us from inhaling all the fine particles when sculpting the artwork in the afternoon. Regardless of the above, it was still a great activity and I appreciate a lot what we learned and brought home. Thank you!

  • 4/5 from Aileen Gardner, attended Jan 2024: Teacher was good. Venue was great The way the class was set out didn’t quite flow right to me. It would make more sense to make the medium first then do the instructional talking while it set. Seemed like a little out of sequence, but still an enjoyable class.
  • 5/5 from Bradley John Walther Jackson, attended Sep 2023: Fantastic experience and opportunity to hopefully begin a new hobby with my parents. Instructor found a wonderful balance between providing guidance but also allowing us to follow our own vision for the sculptures.
