Learn how to cook tasty authentic Sri Lankan food in this fun cooking class in Sydney!
On arrival to class, you will be offered a refreshment and then given a short brief on safety and orientation. The chef will then demonstrate the courses to be cooked and answers any questions you may have. You will then break into small groups to prepare the meal under the guidance of the chef.
On the menu:Â
- Chicken curry
- Prawn curry
- Pumpkin curry (a Sri Lankan favourite)
- Snake bean mallung (mallungs are quick-fried vegetable accompaniments that are lightly spiced)
- Dhal with spinach (a vegetable curry using red lentils and spinach)
- Coconut sambol (sambols are accompaniments like salsas, or relishes, or pickles)
- Saffron rice
- Coconut roti
When all is ready, we sit down and eat at a large single set table. This is an activity where everyone gets involved under the chef’s guidance to produce a sensational feast! So if you're looking for unique things to do in Sydney,  cooking your own homemade Sri Lankan feast is the perfect option.
Please note:
- We operate with a maximum of 16 people per class and on the rare occasion where the minimum class number of 10Â isn't reached, we will notify you at least three days prior with the chance to reschedule to a later date or participate in another of our classes.
- Please advise of any special dietary requirements (we can cater to gluten-free or vegetarian but not vegan). This comes at no extra charge.
