You also probably never realised that around 50% of the waste in your rubbish bin could actually be put to better use in your compost. Starting your no-waste journey? Or been trying for a while? Composting is a sure way to slash your waste literally in half.
Join us for a composting workshop designed for beginners in small inner-city spaces! Hosted at Banish's sustainability education space at Central Station, this workshop will teach you how to turn your kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich soil for your indoor or outdoor plants.
Led by an experienced composting expert and 2023 NSW Young Australian of the Year Lottie Dalziel this workshop will cover the basics of composting, including what materials can and cannot be composted, how to create a compost bin, and how to maintain your compost. We'll also provide tips on how to compost in small spaces including worm farms, such as apartments or balconies.
By learning to compost, you can reduce your waste and carbon footprint while improving the health of your plants and soil. Whether you're an avid gardener or simply looking to live more sustainably, this workshop is a great place to start.
Tickets are $20 and include a digital copy of the resources from the workshop. Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot today!
This class is also great for private and corporate events. If you have slightly less than 10 people in your group, we can still run the class (it's just that the price per person may be slightly higher). The class can also be held at your venue (in this case the maximum number of guests is 30). Please get in touch for details.
Beginner-friendly, no previous experience required.
