What you'll do
Searching for things to do this Valentine's Day in Perth? Learn how to paint a heart-shaped masterpiece while enjoying a delicious morning tea!
During this two-hour workshop, you’ll create your own textured heart painting that you will be proud to take home.
This activity is designed to be fun, achievable and suitable for all ages (recommended age is five and above), so bring your partner, child, best mate, nephew, grandma, or any other human! Bringing a date or a mate will get you a whopping half price of the second booking!
The class will be kept small with a maximum of 10 spaces available. The studio is located in the Armadale Hills area, approximately 45 minutes from Perth’s city centre.

No experience is necessary! Beginners are welcome
What you'll get

Anne Farrell is a qualified artist and art educator with a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) and a Diploma of Education (Primary Teaching).
I have over 14 years of experience teaching in schools across Perth, working with children aged five to 13 years of age. I have also volunteered as a teacher in remote community schools in India.
For 10 years I ran the popular blog 'Use Your Coloured Pencils', where I shared my art lessons and the results of working with hundreds of students over the years.
The Pencil Case Art Studio offers art classes and workshops for children aged 4 years to 16 years, as well as adult classes for beginners and those willing to "brush up" on their skills. You can also book an arty party for a special occasion!
My intent for each class or workshop is not about templates or students creating one of twenty identical artworks created using step-by-step instruction, but for students to really learn practical, transferrable skills across a range of media, to have fun and feel confident to make mistakes, explore and create artwork they are proud of.
I want all students to be able to apply their knowledge, skills and ideas to other artistic practices and to apply their creativity to all aspects of life.
