What you'll do

Are you a lover of all things botanical? Experience the colourful world of watercolour paint and immortalise your favourite botanicals in this watercolour painting class in Sydney!

Botanical art is a unique and specialised art form that captures the colour, precision, and detail of plants to realistically represent their natural beauty.

Starting with a brief introduction, you will discover or deepen your understanding of watercolour application as you learn new watercolour techniques and develop the skills to prepare and complete a beautifully detailed artwork. With tutor guidance, you will have plenty of opportunities to practise your watercolour application for botanical art with various specimens including flowers, vegetables, and other plants.

Materials

This course is open to beginners and students who have some watercolour painting experience.

Please wear old clothes and/or bring an apron.
Long hair must be tied back.

Shipra Shah

Shipra trained for five years at a premier art institute, and has a Degree in Fine Arts and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

She has worked as a Visual Merchandiser and Set Designer for many years and has gained extensive experience in Store Planning and Graphic Art. Throughout this period, Shipra has continued her love for drawing and watercolor painting.

Over the years her works include detailed watercolour paintings, participating and selling in several exhibitions, doing illustration works and above all conducting workshops and teaching watercolour and botanical art at various institutions.
