Safe Stretching for Joint Mobility & Pain Relief
Welcome to Safe Stretching for Joint Mobility & Pain Relief, a gentle chair yoga session designed to improve flexibility, reduce joint stiffness, and help you move with greater comfort, confidence, and independence.
As we age, our joints naturally become less flexible, and everyday activities may feel more challenging due to stiffness or discomfort. Gentle stretching is one of the safest and most effective ways to maintain joint mobility, support healthy movement, and improve overall quality of life. This session focuses on slow, controlled stretches that help restore comfortable movement while protecting your joints.
Using safe, accessible chair yoga exercises, you'll improve flexibility, increase range of motion, and reduce muscle tightness throughout the body. Regular practice supports better posture, smoother movement, and greater ease during everyday activities, helping you stay active and independent for longer.
Regular practice may help you:
  • Improve joint mobility and flexibility.
  • Increase range of motion.
  • Reduce stiffness and everyday discomfort.
  • Improve posture and movement efficiency.
  • Enhance balance and body awareness.
  • Support healthy movement and functional mobility.
  • Reduce the risk of falls by improving mobility and stability.
  • Promote healthy ageing, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Healthy joints are essential for maintaining an active lifestyle and preventing falls. Better flexibility and mobility can make everyday tasks—such as walking, climbing stairs, getting dressed, reaching overhead, gardening, shopping, and spending time with family—feel easier, safer, and more enjoyable. By moving more comfortably and confidently, you'll be better equipped to stay independent and continue doing the activities you love.
Suitable for seniors and NDIS participants of all abilities, this gentle chair yoga session encourages you to move at your own pace in a safe and supportive environment. Every practice helps improve mobility, relieve stiffness, support joint health, and build the confidence to live an active, independent, and fulfilling life.

My yogi way started in childhood when I asked myself about death. It was so evident that I can't be dead; I am something more than this physical body, beyond the five organs of sensation. I started exploring who I am...
It is an interesting and deep way with a lot of spiritual experiences. I meditated a lot, more than 5-6 hours during the day and many years one after another to find answers to my questions. And once, when I came back to the physical body after a long meditation, two main thoughts came into my mind: "There is no mind over there, " and "People are suffering from the mind."
Later, I met my spiritual teachers. I came to India to learn yoga, where the science of Yoga was born. It's impossible to understand Yoga without learning the Indian culture because Yoga and India are the same!
Western people know yoga as physical training. But it's anything but not yoga.
Yoga is a deep spiritual science expanding the perception of consciousness from simple human to cosmic divine! Yoga is a way and a fruit. Yoga is mystical knowledge.
I never stop learning yoga. Yoga is being called a state of unity and the way to achieve this state.
I have more than 10 years of practicing Ashtanga yoga, not fitness. Ashtanga means 8 parts. Modern Ashtanga yoga is fitness and does not have something similar to the true meaning of Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali.
The 8 parts include: Yoga philosophy for increasing the level of consciousness, Asanas for the physical body, Pranayamas for purifying the prana (prana means vital energy), Pratyahara (bringing the five organs of sensation inside), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (holding the object of meditation for a long time), Samadhi (beyond the words, being in superconsciousness).
All this is not easy and needs a serious guru. From my side, I am trying to help people not forget the true meaning of yoga and probably encourage someone to do yoga as a Sadhana (spiritual practice), not as a fitness routine.
