Professional Development Workshop for Educators and Teachers

Deep dives into creative reuse and loose parts play pedagogy and practice

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 30 guests

$55 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

After you've taken a wander around the warehouse, you'll be joining Education Programs Developer Yasmin Andrews to dive deep into the history of open ended play and learn about the benefits of taking risks in childhood.
This interactive workshop will get you thinking about where your center is in its journey of sustainability and risky play, and develop the skills to move further in embedded practices that support life long learning. We will take a historical and pedagogical look at play, and unpack how commercial and industrial discards can be used in play contexts.
Meet other practitioners and share your experiences! We will be sharing the knowledge from our 50 years of sustainable play, and invite you to share your wealth of knowledge as well.
"I really enjoyed it and how is was presented. Very great tips and ideas for how to improve our loose parts as well as the history of reverse garbage. Many thanks to the presenters. I look forward to many more workshops." -- David Kelly, 5-stars
