From the moment we started, the atmosphere was fun, enjoyable and incredibly relaxing, exactly the kind of creative escape I didn't know I needed. Nikki was an amazing teacher. She was patient, encouraging, and took the time to answer every question thoroughly. I was a complete beginner and she guided us at our own pace without any pressure. I never felt lost or rushed. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun, creative activity to unwind!

I'd never done calligraphy before but through the various warm up exercise and lettering, I kind of got the hang of it. The great thing is that I can continue to practice, using the specific methods shown instead of just finding my way and potentially holding the pen incorrectly. I appreciate the guides for materials too.

My online communication with the teacher Nikki was very prompt and made purchasing and booking the classes and smooth. Instructions to find the venue were very clear. My parents attended the class on Sunday and said they had a good time. They did comment that they were the oldest attendants and everyone was much younger than them, but that the teachers were very welcoming and they learned a lot.

At the start, Nikki briefly spoke about the pen and suppliers but I loved how we got to jump straight into it as I learn so much better by actually doing rather than sitting through lengthy instructions. Nikki gave you space to work out the pen and get comfortable with it, but was also right there to offer guidance and correct your technique when needed. The kit I got to take home included all the information mentioned during the workshop plus plenty of additional worksheets, so I can continue practicing calligraphy at home! Nikki made sure the advice provided suited what you wanted to get out of the workshop such as if you wanted to start a calligraphy biz or do your own wedding stationery. I’d definitely recommend this workshop with Nikki if you’re thinking about getting into calligraphy!

The venue was easy to find, there was on street parking available and we could buy a coffee at the onsite cafe. Nikki’s an encouraging and fun teacher! She provided all the necessary materials to get us started - and you get to take these home with you. She shared her skills and experiences with the class and spent time with each of us individually. It's the perfect personal touch I've always wanted to add to my home made goods I made for fam and friends. Nikki observed me and provided tips on getting the best style strokes. Materials were provided so it was handy to get started on practising straight away and Nikki provided plenty of into on where to get supplies, recommendations and how to care my new items. The personalised agate was a lovely touch and to remember this occasion. I'd recommend this for anyone looking to learn calligraphy, and or anyone looking for something relaxing to learn and do - you're in good hands with Nikki.
