Welcome to Neuromuscular Coordination & Somatic Movement Synchronisation, a gentle seated session designed to improve the connection between your brain and body through slow, mindful movement and body awareness.
As we age, coordination, reaction time, and movement confidence can naturally decline. This may affect balance, posture, and the ease with which we perform everyday activities. This session focuses on retraining healthy movement patterns by encouraging the nervous system and muscles to work together more efficiently.
Using gentle somatic movement techniques, you'll develop greater body awareness, improve coordination, and learn to move with more control, comfort, and confidence. Rather than focusing on effort, this practice encourages mindful movement, helping your body rediscover natural, efficient movement patterns.
Regular practice may help you:
  • Improve neuromuscular coordination.
  • Enhance body awareness and proprioception.
  • Support better balance and movement control.
  • Increase confidence in everyday movement.
  • Improve posture and functional mobility.
  • Encourage smoother, more coordinated movement patterns.
  • Support healthy ageing and greater independence.
  • Reduce unnecessary muscle tension and movement-related fatigue.
Better coordination can make everyday tasks feel safer and easier—from getting up from a chair and reaching for objects to walking, dressing, and navigating your home or community with greater confidence. These skills play an important role in maintaining independence, reducing the risk of falls, and supporting an active lifestyle.
Suitable for seniors and NDIS participants of all abilities, this calming seated practice allows you to move at your own pace while improving the connection between mind and body. Every session helps build confidence, supports healthy movement, and promotes long-term wellbeing so you can continue enjoying the activities that matter most.

My yogi way started in childhood when I asked myself about death. It was so evident that I can't be dead; I am something more than this physical body, beyond the five organs of sensation. I started exploring who I am...
It is an interesting and deep way with a lot of spiritual experiences. I meditated a lot, more than 5-6 hours during the day and many years one after another to find answers to my questions. And once, when I came back to the physical body after a long meditation, two main thoughts came into my mind: "There is no mind over there, " and "People are suffering from the mind."
Later, I met my spiritual teachers. I came to India to learn yoga, where the science of Yoga was born. It's impossible to understand Yoga without learning the Indian culture because Yoga and India are the same!
Western people know yoga as physical training. But it's anything but not yoga.
Yoga is a deep spiritual science expanding the perception of consciousness from simple human to cosmic divine! Yoga is a way and a fruit. Yoga is mystical knowledge.
I never stop learning yoga. Yoga is being called a state of unity and the way to achieve this state.
I have more than 10 years of practicing Ashtanga yoga, not fitness. Ashtanga means 8 parts. Modern Ashtanga yoga is fitness and does not have something similar to the true meaning of Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali.
The 8 parts include: Yoga philosophy for increasing the level of consciousness, Asanas for the physical body, Pranayamas for purifying the prana (prana means vital energy), Pratyahara (bringing the five organs of sensation inside), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (holding the object of meditation for a long time), Samadhi (beyond the words, being in superconsciousness).
All this is not easy and needs a serious guru. From my side, I am trying to help people not forget the true meaning of yoga and probably encourage someone to do yoga as a Sadhana (spiritual practice), not as a fitness routine.
