Welcome to Spinal Decompression, Postural Alignment & Back Pain Relief, a gentle chair yoga session designed to improve posture, relieve back discomfort, and support a healthier, more comfortable spine.
Back stiffness and poor posture are common as we age and can make everyday activities such as walking, standing, sitting, or reaching feel more difficult. Spending long periods sitting, reduced mobility, or muscle weakness may also contribute to discomfort and limit confidence in daily movement. This session focuses on gently improving spinal mobility, encouraging better postural alignment, and releasing unnecessary tension throughout the back and shoulders.
Using safe, accessible chair yoga exercises, you'll promote healthy spinal movement, improve flexibility, and strengthen the muscles that support good posture. Regular practice can help reduce stiffness, increase comfort, and improve the way your body moves throughout the day.
Regular practice may help you:
  • Improve spinal mobility and flexibility.
  • Support healthy posture and postural alignment.
  • Relieve back stiffness and muscular tension.
  • Strengthen the muscles that support the spine.
  • Improve balance and body awareness.
  • Increase comfort during everyday activities.
  • Support healthy ageing, independence, and functional mobility.
  • Enhance overall wellbeing and quality of life.
A healthy spine is the foundation for comfortable movement and greater independence. Better posture and improved spinal mobility can make everyday activities such as walking, standing, cooking, gardening, driving, and spending time with family feel easier and more enjoyable.
Suitable for seniors and NDIS participants of all abilities, this gentle chair yoga session encourages you to move at your own pace in a safe and supportive environment. Every practice helps you build strength, improve posture, and move with greater comfort and confidence—supporting an active, independent, and fulfilling lifestyle.

My yogi way started in childhood when I asked myself about death. It was so evident that I can't be dead; I am something more than this physical body, beyond the five organs of sensation. I started exploring who I am...
It is an interesting and deep way with a lot of spiritual experiences. I meditated a lot, more than 5-6 hours during the day and many years one after another to find answers to my questions. And once, when I came back to the physical body after a long meditation, two main thoughts came into my mind: "There is no mind over there, " and "People are suffering from the mind."
Later, I met my spiritual teachers. I came to India to learn yoga, where the science of Yoga was born. It's impossible to understand Yoga without learning the Indian culture because Yoga and India are the same!
Western people know yoga as physical training. But it's anything but not yoga.
Yoga is a deep spiritual science expanding the perception of consciousness from simple human to cosmic divine! Yoga is a way and a fruit. Yoga is mystical knowledge.
I never stop learning yoga. Yoga is being called a state of unity and the way to achieve this state.
I have more than 10 years of practicing Ashtanga yoga, not fitness. Ashtanga means 8 parts. Modern Ashtanga yoga is fitness and does not have something similar to the true meaning of Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali.
The 8 parts include: Yoga philosophy for increasing the level of consciousness, Asanas for the physical body, Pranayamas for purifying the prana (prana means vital energy), Pratyahara (bringing the five organs of sensation inside), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (holding the object of meditation for a long time), Samadhi (beyond the words, being in superconsciousness).
All this is not easy and needs a serious guru. From my side, I am trying to help people not forget the true meaning of yoga and probably encourage someone to do yoga as a Sadhana (spiritual practice), not as a fitness routine.
