What do I need to bring?
Wine, if you want to drink! Apart from that, bring as much or as little as you want! All essentials are provided. Come as you are and I will provide all the makeup and tools you need for the session - or, if you're ready to paint the town red afterwards, come with your full makeup kit, an outfit change and hair tongs!
Do I need any makeup experience?
Not at all! Whether you're a complete beginner or already love doing your makeup, this workshop is for you. I'll share tips and techniques along the way, and you can work at your own pace.
Will I have to share makeup or brushes with other guests?
Hygiene is a priority. I'll provide makeup essentials and tools for the session, with appropriate hygiene practices in place. I'll guide you through using the products safely, including any products that need to be sanitised or applied with disposable tools.
What if I have sensitive skin or prefer not to try certain products?
That's completely fine. You can choose what you're comfortable using, and there's no pressure to try every product. If you have known allergies or sensitivities, please let me know beforehand so we can discuss suitable options.

Hi, I'm Sophie, the founder of Face Value and a qualified makeup artist with a BA(Hons) degree in Makeup & Hair Design.My love for makeup started long before my formal training. When I was a teenager, I could happily spend hours in front of the mirror experimenting, playing with colours and creating all sorts of crazy looks. After graduating in 2018, I spent several years travelling, and makeup took a bit of a back seat. Over time, I found myself missing that creative outlet and the joy of sharing it with others.Face Value grew from that feeling, along with a desire to create something that brings women together. Having moved away from friends and experienced the ups and downs of making new connections, I know how special it can be to find your people. I wanted to create a space where women can learn something new, have a laugh with new friends, and leave feeling a little more confident.My teaching style is relaxed, friendly and down-to-earth.
