4.5 hours Class size 1 on 1       Free

This free, hands-on workshop invites young people aged 12–24 to explore the creative and practical side of sustainable fashion. Delivered by Reverse Garbage in collaboration with The Clothing Clinic the session brings together thrifting, repair, and clothing customisation in an engaging, supportive environment.
Participants will learn simple hand stitching techniques that make mending and altering clothing accessible anywhere - on the bus, on the train, or at home. The workshop focuses on building confidence and practical skills that empower young people to extend the life of their clothes and rethink textile waste.
The session includes a guided thrift shopping experience where participants can select garments to work on, followed by hands-on support to develop and apply their own creative ideas. Each participant will also receive a take-home sewing kit, enabling them to continue practising their skills beyond the workshop.
With all materials provided, free participation, and catering included, this workshop offers a welcoming and inclusive space to learn, create, and connect - while building lifelong skills in sustainability and reuse.
