Join us for a day of mending and making. The climate crisis can feel overwhelming, but small acts add up, and a mending session and a chat always help.
Sharing sewing and repair skills is a practical way to take powerful climate action.
Every mended garment stays out of landfill and replaces a new purchase, cutting carbon emissions and building climate resilience.
Whether it’s a missing button, a stained T-shirt that needs a patch, a tear, simply a little extra sparkle, or adjusting an item for summer - come on down and get them back in your closet.
Come to learn and come to share. Swap tips, show your skills, or simply sit and sew.
Bring something that needs a little love. Hope to see you there! We will have some sewing supplies for sale at our Reuse Centre and some to share. Please feel free to bring your sewing kit.

  • 5/5 from Susan Roberts, attended Oct 2026: • Repair Day Experience - 16.10.26. • I was able to find-out how best to mend a skirt. Because I wasn't sure how to approach its mending, a long-neglected skirt now has another whirl at life! I now have another method in my skill-set for mending tricky spots of a garment. • Host was generous with time, energy, knowledge, & was keen to listen to understand our 'stories' along the journey of upcycling, mending, re-purposing. Advice & encouragement for how to go about the repair I was wanting was given willingly & thoughtfully. • Friendly atmosphere for sharing of ideas & know-how with other participants. Through today's encounters I have found out about other repair/mend & recycling organisations that I am keen to investigate. • Thank you for the opportunity to come along. I really enjoyed my time.
  • 5/5 from Sharyn Corboy, attended Oct 2026: Sewing repair workshop - very welcoming, inclusive, I felt part of something with like minded people. Thank you very much, hopefully I can play with work hours to attend your monthly Monday sewing mornings
