Matcha is a fine powdered green tea that is harvested and made under strict conditions to maintain high quality. Matcha green tea is loaded with powerful plant-based antioxidants known as polyphenols.

茶カブキ Chakabuki is a matcha tasting game that was popular among the intellectual in Kyoto between the late Kamakura period (1185-1333) and the middle of the Muromachi period (1338-1573).

In this experience, you'll be introduced to three different types of matcha by friendly expert Yukio and then indulge your senses and enjoy a tasting too. The matcha will then be shuffled and you will do a second round of blind tasting, and attempt to guess the type of matcha.

We had a such great time at Yukino's Chakabuki class! A unique and authentic way to experience a piece of Japan in Sydney. Yukino was extremely knowledgeable, the tea was delicious (and so were the homemade Japanese sweets), and it was overall a very relaxing time. Thanks Yukino (and Asami) :)
