Cocktails & Collages X Resin Workshop

FRI 10 MAY 2024 – 6:00PM START (approx. 3 hours) – U RESIN Creative Studio, Maddington.

Cocktails & Collages x Resin Workshop - Spend your Friday evening getting creative whilst enjoying a cocktail (or two)! This is just in time for Mother's Day, so if you're looking for something fun to do with your mum, then come and join us!  This is still a Resin Workshop but with a twist ~ Come and join us to create your own unique works of art with paper, scissors, glue and resin (with a side of cocktails)! During this 3 HOUR workshop, you will be casually guided through a design process for your image layout before adding a final coat of artwork resin to seal it altogether.

Unleash your imagination and artist within as you craft a personalised collage on an art board before we clear coat the piece with resin for a high gloss finish. Your collage can be 110% personal ~ We want your collage to be a visual celebration of the things that fill your heart with joy, love, self appreciation, fascination or maybe just pretty things! We are fully stocked on catalogues, magazines, stickers, photos and more, that you can cut and paste away with.

Collages aren’t just for scrapbooking or kids activities – this one is for the adults looking to have a bit of fun! Creating collages are fun, easy and relaxing. We will spend the first 1.5 – 2 hours, creating and sticking our collages together. Once everyone is happy with their piece, we will then begin the resin demonstration.

This workshop welcomes all skill levels. Whether you're an experienced artist or just discovering your creative side, this workshop is designed for everyone. Even if you’ve never worked with resin before, we will go step by step showing you exactly how to use it. Once we have finished the demo, it will be time for your to pour your own resin coating.

Come alone, with a friend or loved one! We will have the studio filled with other like-minded, creative individuals ready to have a creative and fun night.
Artworks that are coated in Epoxy will need to cure for a minimum of 24 hours, before they can be moved or collected.

Completely beginner-friendly in all aspects! Not suitable for Children under 18 years old or pregnant women.

We encourage you to come with an open, friendly and creative mind! That’s about the only thing you really need when attending.

IF there are specific images, photos, writing, etc. that you do wish to use on your collage, please feel free to bring these along. If you are bringing your own personal items, we recommend having these cut and ready to go as you wish to use them – Also remember your board is 30x30cm so make sure they are big/small enough to fit within the space.

We would however, recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting messy! We have aprons available, but sometimes accidents happen
