So maybe some seating would have made the experience a bit more comfy!

  • 5/5 from David Clay-Williams, attended Dec 2024: Informative and very interesting. Excellent introduction to a lot (>10) single origin coffees, highlighting the range of differences available. Sooo much more than just Campos coffee.
  • 4/5 from Lee Rydstrand, attended Dec 2024: A very thorough introduction to the experience of coffee drinking. Covering the basics of coffee production from harvesting to processing, touching on growing conditions and how they affect taste this was an adventure akin to tasing a range of wines for the first time.. George took a while to get to the actual tasting part but when we did it was comprehensive and fascinating. Well worth the time and cost. If I had any niggles it would have been around the need for a clearer discussion of the dimensions of the coffee taste: acidity, bitterness, fruit, nut and spice aromas but it took two hours for a one course as it was!

  • 5/5 from Rosie Flanigan, attended Oct 2024: 10/10 would highly recommend for people who love the nerdy side of coffee! It was run by the Head Roaster who really knew his stuff. The first half of the session focussed on how coffee is grown, processed and distributed with information around variations by country and how Roastville specifically sources their beans. There were around 10-12 cups around the table with different beans which he talked us through. We could then smell the beans while they were whole, when they were ground and then again once water had been poured in. We went around the table and tasted all the different coffees and he answered all of our questions as we went. I learned a lot and the coffee was delicious!
