Lecturer Basaka was amazing and made the class a positive experience overall, and she arranged for the correct lamp shade (glass) and replacement tiles to be sent to me so I could still make the lamp I wanted - thank you Basaka

We haven't actually booked that yet as we have done a class before but it's great to have the option to do at home and still have guidance from a teacher. My friend has a husband who is not well and she doesn't like to leave home for too long so this option is great...

Failed to send a meeting ID for Zoom. Failed to respond to email or direct messaging from the website. I was provided a link to join the session 20min after the event had started. When I did join the video and audio quality were abismall, other people in the online session were also reporting the same issues. I left the group. Would not recommend to anyone and will not support with any purchases.

But the teacher was great, very patient and I quickly saw how this was done. My daughter says that the resulting lamp is a family heirloom. It looks brilliant! Thanks.

My husband gave me a gift card last Christmas and I had no difficulty whatsoever using the card or attending the class via Zoom. I would definately recommend this class to anyone who has always wanted to create their own Turkish Mosaic Lamp but thought it couldn't be done. It most certainly can. I can't wait to see how mine turns out (and where I'm going to put it).

I will buy more tomorrow and finish the beading then than the plastering. When I made a mistake, the teacher was able to replicate my mistake to show me where the tile should be. I appreciated that. Can I purchase the lamp kit by itself to make more please?

It has a template you can use to create your designs and give you some ideas to start. The teacher was lovely and gave me many helpful tips, and demonstrated how to plaster the lamp when I said that was the part I was worried about. My lamp looks beautiful and it’s nice to be able to create a finished product within a short space of time.

However, I have done a couple of online craft classes so far, and this is a little more challenging to do remotely. I think this class would be better face-to-face.

Some more instruction would be helpful e.g. the presenter could introduce themselves and provide an overview of the session at the start, provide demonstration of the techniques and show examples of the different stages. Also, some materials were missing from the pack and the lamp wiring seems to be faulty - once assembled and turned on it flickered a few times but wont turn on.

She was great explaining each step and sharing so many examples of different ideas. The pace was perfect as we created our beautiful lamps together. The quality of the craft supplies made the process seamless and so very enjoyable. My finished piece exceeded my expectations! Thank you Layla! You’re a fabulous teacher

Not only is it a functional lamp but it reflects your artistic side so even though I dont consider myself a good artistic I made something that looks terrific and actually consider it a piece of art. Highly recommend doing the class.
