Step inside a warm and welcoming environment where creativity is encouraged and no question is too small. Our experienced teachers are passionate about their craft and eager to share their knowledge with you.
Depending upon the class, whether you’ll be making silver earrings or polymer clay earrings, your journey will start the same with an introduction to basic jewellery design principles. They’ll guide you on how to work with the chosen material and learn techniques such as moulding clay, wire wrapping silver or bead threading.
Then it’s time to get hands-on! You’ll get to get your hands messy and get involved in the jewellery making process from scratch. By the end of the class, you’ll have a pair (or more!) of earrings made entirely by yourself! It's a tangible reminder of what you've learned during class, not to mention a stylish addition to your accessory collection or a heartfelt gift for someone special.

3 different ways to make your own earrings
Want to make your own earrings? There are endless creative possibilities to what you can make but here are three methods to design your own dazzly pair!
- Silversmithing - This craft dates back thousands of years and is a time-honoured tradition that requires skill, patience, and precision. Start by sketching out your earring design, then cut the silver into that shape using a jeweller's saw. Next comes filing and sanding to smooth out any rough edges before moving on to shaping and forming the piece using bending tools or hammers. The final steps involve soldering any additional components, like ear hooks and polishing the finished piece for a beautiful shine.
- Polymer clay sculpting - Polymer clay offers endless possibilities in terms of colour, form, and texture as this versatile material can be moulded into virtually any shape imaginable! Choose an array of vibrant colours, knead the clay until it’s soft, and create small shapes or intricate designs for your earrings using moulds. These could be anything—flowers, geometric shapes, or abstract forms are all popular choices. Once satisfied with your designs, bake them in an oven and don't forget to add earring hooks once they cool down!
- Resin art - Resin is another fantastic choice for DIY earrings, especially if you love glossy finishes! Start by selecting a silicone mould in your desired earring shape, then mix up some epoxy resin. You might add pigments for colour or small items like glitter or dried flowers before carefully pouring the resin into the mould. After allowing ample time for curing (usually 24 hours), you can remove your new earrings from their moulds and attach hooks.
