This is a ClassBento VideoBox class! From the comfort of your home, share an artisan experience with your friends, family or colleagues, or just enjoy it yourself. As seen on The Guardian, TimeOut, Broadsheet, Concrete Playground, Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and more. Here's how it works:

  1. We'll deliver a ClassBento Box to you - this is a physical DIY craft box containing the materials you'll need. Shipping is free, and it should arrive within 3 -5 business days. We ship nationwide.
  2. Enjoy the online class. You'll receive a pre-recorded video with instructions. You're welcome to contact the teacher if you have any questions about it.

I have designed this coronavirus inspired colourful necklace using chunky vintage West German Lucite plastic and even some hand-painted splattered beads.

When you are a bit short on ideas and want a creative and colourful hit reach out for one of our jewellery making DIY kits which are just like making from scratch, only easier! Plus this necklace kit comes with a step by step pre-recorded video tutorial in these times of physical distancing.

This is a beginner level jewellery making session and at the end, you'll have a beautiful 70cm long necklace with beads coloured in red, yellow, pink, salmon and light turquoise (as shown).

We believe in the power of adornment and creativity and have designed a craft box for you to design, make and play using beautiful and original elements sourced ethically and globally.
We inspire your notable style and embrace the maker culture: seeking beauty, slow, ethical and local.

Make it. Wear it. Live it.

Inspiring Jewellery Designer, Educator and Stylist

5.0 (12)

I founded Etelage (French for adornment) in 2002, fueled with a passion for women to exude their notable and authentic style through jewellery.
I am a local inner west, Sydney jewellery designer, passionate educator, author, community-spirited and sustainable style advocate. My ambition is to help you develop excellent technical jewellery making and design skills and inspire you to greater creative depth in your jewellery making adventures using beautiful modern and vintage elements sourced ethically and sustainably.
I observe that generally as a society we are becoming more mindful about our choices: conscious of choosing products which are made using artisan traditions and not mass produced, and seeking quality over quantity. So it is with that philosophy that I share my skills and knowledge of jewellery design to encourage all my students to awaken their creative soul and seek beauty, slow, artisan and local.
My goal always is to create a teaching environment where participants can share ideas, be inspired and let their imaginations run wild! With over 17 years teaching experience I am dedicated to empowering my students to become better designers and better makers, equipping them with skills and confidence to create whatever my students dream!
Learn how to string chunky necklaces, knot eclectic beads, link chandelier earrings, use buttons and buckles in jewellery design, and more at our friendly and intimate studio spaces in Rozelle and Summer Hill (April 2020). Alternatively we can travel to your venue. (for group bookings only)

I invite you to come and learn some simple jewellery making techniques with a local jeweller, which will impress you as well as your friends.

Etelage jewellery workshops are perfect for individuals, corporate bookings or a group of friends.

Let's make and play together and unlock your inner creative!
