What you'll do

In this Sydney workshop, which is perfect for beginners, your teacher will share with you all of the fundamentals of sweet preserving from 'setting point' to storage and explain how important pectin, acidity and temperature are when preserving fruits.
Traditional and modern methods will be discussed and there will be lots of guidance and inspiration for interesting fruit combinations and flavours, plus plenty of tastings!
After this class, you can throw away your jam recipes and start preserving on your own. So, join Cornersmith for some sweet talk and go home with all kinds of treats for the pantry.
At the end of class enjoy a sweet Cornersmith plate with plenty of jam and cheese, plus their beautiful housemade garden tea.

Cornersmith is a family run business with two stores in Sydney’s Inner West. You can come to us for breakfast, lunch, or come to our cooking school to learn a new skill.
