What you'll do
Learn the art of bookbinding and create your very own handcrafted journal in our bookmaking workshop. Join Frankie as she guides you step by step, teaching you how to create beautiful textured book covers using plaster. You'll then learn how to paint a stunning sunflower design using acrylic paint and collage techniques. Afterward, we'll add the pages and stitch everything together using the ancient technique of Coptic binding.
Don't worry if you're a beginner, this workshop is designed to be hands-on and welcoming for all skill levels. With limited spaces available, you'll receive plenty of personal attention and guidance from Frankie throughout the class.
BYO drinks to enjoy during the workshop. We'll provide a glass of wine or champagne for you as well as plenty of delicious nibbles to enjoy.
The workshop will be held at our Barn Studio in Chidlow, immersing you in a serene and creative environment. We'll be working with plaster, acrylic paint, collage materials, and various bookbinding tools. Rest assured, Frankie will be there to support and guide you every step of the way.
This workshop is not just about creating a beautiful journal, it's also about discovering your artistic potential and enjoying the process of creating something with your own hands. You'll leave the workshop feeling accomplished and inspired, with a unique handcrafted journal to cherish or gift to someone special.
