What you'll do

Busy schedules can leave little time to cook, but learn how to make the most of your time in the kitchen with our easy weeknight meals cooking class.

No knowledge is required for this class! You’ll learn how to prepare easy weeknight meals alongside a qualified chef who’ll masterfully guide you through this fun and casual course. We will teach you how to work with a selection of proteins and vegetables whilst minimising food preparation time to ensure you still get a delicious meal, deliciously fast.

This class is half demo and half practical and makes a perfect choice if you are looking for couples cooking classes. Enjoy tasters from all of the dishes and leave the class with all of the easy and delicious recipes that will save you time during the week’s hustle and bustle.

Sample Dishes (4-5 dishes covered per class):

South Indian Red Lentil Dhal
Chicken & Chorizo Tacos with fresh tortillas
Salmon with Ginger Quinoa
Rolled Chicken Breast filled with your choice of herbs and grilled vegetables
Spicy Prawn Salad with Asian Omelette
Beetroot, Egg & Avocado Salad
Broccoli, Feta, Pea, Mint Fritters with dill tzatziki
Pumpkin, Coconut, Ginger & Coriander Soup
Grilled Eggplant, garbanzo beans and chorizo

Learn in a fun and interactive setting. Some dishes will be demonstrated by the chef and others will be hands-on for participants to cook. Tasters of all the dishes will be provided as well as recipes to take home. Classes are run frequently and the menu will change seasonally so that you can keep coming back to learn more and more dishes to impress! If you have attended a class previously, please let us know which date you attended to avoid doubling up on recipes.

Please note: Sydney Cooking School (SCS) reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class for reasons concerning SCS. If a class has been cancelled due to low attendance, sickness or any other matter regarding SCS, all students will be notified within 48 hours of the class commencement date, and the option to reschedule to another date, or full refunds provided.

Sydney Cooking School opened in 2010 when Executive Chef Brett Deverall pursued his dream to share his love andpassion of cooking in a fun and relaxed learning environment. Offering a range of cooking classes daily, our Neutral Bay venue is fitted with state of the art appliances and equipment from Fisher & Paykel, Breville and Anolon.

Our experienced and passionate team take pride in teaching practical, entertaining and informative cooking classes or hosting your next event.

We have a variety of themed menus and packages available, and our formats are suitable to anyone, from the absolute beginner to the more passionate cook. As well as our regularly scheduled classes, we offer masterclasses in Pastry, Chicken & Duck and Pork & Cider, as well as Children’s School Holiday classes.

If you prefer to be out of the Kitchen join us in our fabulous BBQ area for one of our Popular BBQ classes – Things really heat up in these classes so ensure you dress comfortably.
