Introduction to Wheel Throwing Pottery Class

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 15 label $95

From beginners through to potters of all levels, this pottery class is structured to help you learn to improve your skills on the wheel or try your hand at sculpting or hand building. Come along and enjoy a fun and relaxed class while learning new skills.

During this hands on clay workshop you will learn how to centre your clay on the wheel, how to form cylinders, and how to create simple bowl forms.

At this taster class you can skip most of the technical stuff and will get away with not having to knead your clay or finish your pieces. We will have the clay all prepared for you and will teach you the basics of throwing and help you to make a few basic forms. Then, all you need to do is come back and pick up your masterpieces around four weeks later.

Class will be cancelled if less than 6 people are enrolled (this has never happened), in which case all payments will be refunded. All other deposits and class payments are non-refundable but will be held and transferred to another class of your choice (assuming there is a vacancy) for a term of 12 months from date of payment.

Please also note that this class is not suitable for children under 14 years of age due to needing to be a certain height to use the wheel.

All work from this class will be kept at the Studio for a period of 3 months, after which time, any uncollected items will be disposed of.

It was a really fantastic experience. The people working there helped us a lot and was really friendly. A lot of our friends have been asking us where this was done as we posted it on Instagram.
